Retail / Supercenter
As part of this project, I developed a Virtual Reality experience that brought Walmart’s vision of futuristic retail to life. The concept featured a Character Shop, an immersive space located in the virtual back of the store. Customers could interact with beloved movie characters, watch trailers, and explore themed merchandise tied to major film franchises. Work was done while employed by Mars United.
This gamified shopping experience elevates customer engagement by blending entertainment and commerce, creating a unique destination for both movie enthusiasts and Walmart shoppers.
The final product was successfully deployed across three major platforms: Oculus, WebGL, and the Nintendo Switch. Each platform was optimized to ensure a seamless and engaging experience, reaching diverse audiences and making the experience accessible to as many users as possible. This multi-platform approach demonstrated the scalability of the VR application and reinforced Walmart Canada’s commitment to innovation.
